Our Story

Amid an unrelenting storm of appeals, challenges, and threats to reproductive rights, Amy Soper took action. Her defense strategy? Shift the damaging discourse surrounding contraception and safeguard bodily autonomy.

Armed with degrees in psychology and social work, years of sexual and reproductive health advocacy, and philanthropic leadership experience, Amy established The Birth Control Fund to fight this socioeconomic health inequality.

The BC Fund is dedicated to breaking down barriers to accessing birth control. When it comes to pregnancy prevention, the question shouldn’t be “Which method can I afford” but rather, “Which method is best for me?”

By partnering with and awarding grants to trusted nonprofit organizations around the country, The BC Fund expands birth control coverage within the most restrictive communities, closing the equity gap one pill pack, patch, implant, IUD, shot, ring, and condom at a time.
